Marklin HR 700 Tender for American Market Painted in Black

Interesting and rare HR 700 tender for the American market, painted in all black. This locomotive tender came together with an R 700 A locomotive with the cowcatcher for the American market. Unfortunately the HR 700 A locomotive was not in the collection, so this tender is sold on its own. Dates from approximately 1937 with silver claw couplers. An interesting rarity!

Provenance: purchased in the USA from a collection containing an R 700 A painted black (instead of red-striped frame).  These items were purchased from the son/grandson of the original owner.
