Description
Every city needs a clock! Offered here is a rendition of the legendary Marklin 2191 city clock from the early 1900s in half the size of the original. While the original measures over 40cm high which would likely be far too out of scale for a Gauge O/I scene, this model was scaled down to a total height of 26cm, making it perfect for a railway scene for any gauge. The clock was 3D modeled, printed in strong plastic, primed, hand-painted and highlighted with gold painting, and then lacquered all in the style of Marklin. The model conveniently splits into 3 pieces and is supported by a brass tube insert for strength. The base has a cavity which has been cast internally with plaster for added weight and strength to the clock, making it a very solid piece.
Each of the 4 clock inserts is painted in gold, with a printed clock face that is hand-detailed with gold highlights. The clock hands are then added and the clock is enclosed with a sheet of clear plastic. Each one is handmade and numbered – there are small variations between each edition!
Limited Production Quantity – 10 pieces total produced from 2021 to 2023. No more will be made.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales (10%) will be donated to charity (St Jude’s Children Research Hospital).
