Marklin CCS 800 Swiss Krokodil Version 5 dates from 1951

Description

Marklin CCS 800 Version 5 in stunning olive green livery with original copper-tipped pantographs. This version is from 1951 as stamped on the front of the original box. Also engraved into the buffer plate is the number “48” which possibly notes the earlier production date. The trailing trucks on each articulated leg of the loco also date from this earlier production of the 1947-49 version of this loco. Loco comes complete, with all original parts, in the original box with two correct wood inserts with green felt to protect. One of the finest examples I’ve seen of this version in excellent running condition.
