A very fine red SK 800 model. This version was special-ordered at the Marklin factory sometime during WWII and then brought back to the US by an American soldier. The locomotive was purchased from the daughter of the original owner in San Diego, CA. It has all pre-war parts typical from around 1939 – 1942. Runs and reverses flawlessly. Two condition issues to note: triangle piece near cab repaired; metal near rear tender coupling shaft repaired. Overall condition fine with paint chips and wear throughout, typical of age.
Provenance: purchased from the daughter of an American soldier who fought in WWII. The collection from which this locomotive was purchased was located in California.
